Evaluation of play@home

The pay@home programme has been evaluated to measure the effectiveness of play@home (external link) in its key programme outcomes for babies, toddlers and pre-school age children.

In December 2011, NHS Health Scotland commissioned a qualitative research project to explore whether embedding play@home in local strategy has improved its ability to reach more vulnerable families. It also looks at the mechanisms by which this has taken place.

The evaluation of play@home (external link) makes recommendations to improve the delivery and reach of play@home, to ensure that more vulnerable families engage with the programme.
