ISD’s purpose is to deliver effective national and specialist intelligence services to improve the health and wellbeing of people in Scotland with the understanding that better information means better decisions and ultimately better health. It strives to be a valued partner in improving health and wellbeing in Scotland by providing a world-class intelligence service.

The website offers data and statistics on a variety of topics relevant to child health including breastfeeding, hospital admissions, immunisations, mortality, obesity and children with additional support needs.
