A public social marketing campaign, Play, Talk, Read, is part of the Scottish Government's focus on the early years and is intended to help parents stimulate young children and put in place the building blocks for their growth and development and build successful outcomes for the future.

The national campaign includes television and radio advertising and a website that is aimed at helping parents stimulate young children from birth with easy, cost effective activities tailored to local areas and needs. By encouraging and supporting parents to lay strong foundations in the early years we can help give children the best start in life.
