The Scottish Antenatal Parent Education pack

The purpose of the Scottish antenatal parent education pack is to support professionals to effectively deliver the Core syllabus for parent education in Scotland, ensuring consistent messages are delivered to parents and a consistently high standard across NHS is promoted.

This comprehensive package has been developed through a collaborative approach between Healthcare Improvement Scotland, NHS Education for Scotland, and NHS Health Scotland.  This included the development of: a core syllabus (Healthcare Improvement Scotland); resources to support the delivery of the syllabus (NHS Health Scotland); and training to increase staff skills and confidence in facilitation and delivery of the syllabus (NHS Education for Scotland).  This has resulted in a suite of resources to support the delivery of a ‘world class’ parent education service.
